New Poem
I asked for topics, and TheNarrator served as a muse! He showed me this poem form called a countdown. 5 stanzas, first 5 lines, then 4, then down to 1.
Countdown to Heresy
Prophets act according to
their conscience, bringing themselves
in balance with mysticism.
Fantasy mingles with faith,
belief with rational inquiry.Thought is born of searching
mysteries and their philosophies,
the secret teachings of all ages
in the ancient quest for light.Questions brand thee heretic,
and the centuries have persecuted
with burning stakes and burning crosses. The heretics rise against injustice.
Can you hear their song?We shall overcome.

I dig it. Makes me miss writing, more than I already do, anyhow.
Thanks for the feedback(Honestly, I really appreciate it, as I don’t get much of it.)
It is indeed a self-portrait.
Cool! Atlast! Lliterary stuf I understand
I usually fight structure so much, but it does force fascinating decision making. This is good. Hope it helped…
RYC: yes I do actually.
First here is a link which I think you’ll enjoy and find helpful.

Then I would reccommend “The Buddha in Daily Life” by Richard Causton. This was the first book i read on beginning to practise and i still turn to it today. and lastly, it’s daiMoku.
Thanks for asking.

ps how’s your ankle coming along?
Thanks for your comment. sigh, sometimes it just frustrates me seeing him wandering around not doing anything productive. I’m not gonna put my life on hold for him, but I’m starting to wonder when I’m ready to move to the next step of my life (which I’m working toward it now..) what’s gonna happen w/ me and him? sometimes I really feel like giving him a “heads up” as to what’s going to happen if we stay this way haha…
Nice one!
ryc: I totally relate! My first house was really overwhelming! I painted all the walls white to start because I felt like I needed to live there awhile before choosing colors. It took me months to unpack… totally normal! The one thing that I always realize when I pack up things is how we all have too much stuff. I found that I really didn’t miss all my little kitchen thingys and it made me simplify and get rid of a lot of stuff. (Never can seem to get good at that with clothing, however… ugg). During the 15 years that I was an apartment dweller the one good thing was that I was moving a lot and it forced me to pair down and keep things to a minium. A bigger place definitely means more crap! But the first time I had a garage, I thought I had died and gone to heaven!
Interesting poem. I so often don’t pay much sttention to structure, I just let loose! ryc: I never knew you were half Venezuelan–cool! Have a great week, and keep on writing!
Hey. Thanks for writing on my blog. I’m trying not to stress too much. I guess in a matter of time this exam wont mean much if anything– it’s hard to realize that now though. Take care.

His Narratorness came though for you and it yielded a good result! A compliment from him is worth saving–he’s excellent himself.
Things are okay, I just have to realise that I can’t please everyone. Even people very close to me.
Timeless.
This is such a unique poem
