  • At Last…

Well, I just may be getting the winter pick-me-up I’ve been needing for quite some time. I found out about a writer’s retreat next weekend in Maryland. I called, and the price was (gasp!) only $30 per person for the entire weekend! The reason being is its the off season for this youth hostel. There are no special speakers, no keynote presentations, just some peace and quiet in the middle of nowhere to focus on writing. They give you a bed and there is a large kitchen where everyone can make their own food. Then in the evening, if you want to share, you can, and if you don’t want to, that’s okay too. I made arrangements for next Friday off, then its a four-hour road trip to Maryland for a weekend of (hopefully) uninterrupted writing! Woo hoo! I am SOOOO excited.

  • Its been so long since I’ve done any writing for pleasure that I have felt like I have no reason to post.  I am in a period of my life right now where it seems everything I do is for others and I have no time for myself.  It happens to everyone, yes I know, but still I’m feeling a little suffocated by it.  Wow, is this post a downer.  I should probably keep it brief.
