The OperaJan Poll…
The Grownups Blog that I belong to is trying to put together a book of content that has been posted on Xanga. To submit, you need to email them you’re three best blog entries. Of course, wanting to participate, I started looking at my previous posts. Naturally, being a Libra, I can’t narrow it down past 8. Here’s how (I’m hoping) this works:
I will give the dates of what I think are my best posts and you comment what three are your favorites. I will have this run about a week, and then go with the three winners. I will let you know what the favorites were in an upcoming blog. All the posts are poems so it shouldn’t take you to long to skim through.
Thanks for your help!! Here’s my picks:
8/3/05 8/4/05 8/06/05 (apparently, that was a good week for me)
9/1/05 9/2/05 (that week wasn’t too shabby either)
10/3/05 10/23/05 (hey, with my birthday and anniversary in the same month, I was probably too drunk to do much writing.)
Hope you have fun!

I promise as soon as I have a bit of time between work and kids and trying to write I will review and post my opinions.
This is the one I like, tho it was hard!
It was a feeling of mindfulness,
what mystics call that flash of time
a mind’s thoughts are centered,
focused, and no room is left for
injustice, desires, and sorrows.
There were no verbalizations
about the world and friends around us,
no stories or tales that fill up
the volumes of a person’s days.
We reveled in Handel’s Hallelujah
sung with the pain and promise of youth
aware of this ephemeral happening
when one is totally present,
satisfied with music and a lover’s eyes.
If life were filled with moments,
you would never know you had one.
That is a great poem.
Peace and Love:)
As soon as I’m done sewing and embroidering a costume for tomorrow (yay, procrastination!) I’ll go through and look.
Love ya, Jan.
Oh! I won’t be at writer’s group anymore.
The library hired me as a lab technician on Tuesdays from 5-9 pm. I can always pop over and say hi and get the assignments, though!
Hi! Thanks for your comment, my report is done with, now for even bigger challenges! I’ve read some of your poems and they’re marvellous! The one on “the litlle death”.. haha, forget the Vitorians, the French still call it that. Beautiful prose
10/23!! 10/23!
I love the 9/2 poem!! You leave the nicest comments–glad you liked the whimsical poem. Thank you. Are you planning a fun weekend?
