New poem…
I think I’ll go with “Surrender” for the last one. Thanks, Lady_Songbird. Now, here is a new one and no, I can’t think of a title. Sigh. If you think of anything, let me know!
She told me about
the commune and how
they would sit together
in a warehouse space
one week of every year
drinking darjeerling
while writing poetry,
sharing free love
beneath an industrial ceiling
and whispering to each other
about dreams and suspicions
of who among them
might be the next Jack Kerouac.
I romanticized becoming
one of those poets
abandoning the mundane
for a short while,
a modern day hippy neophyte
absorbed and saturated in writing,
wrapping myself in the arms
of a literate bearded anonymous lover.

Hmmm…Beat Poet Cafe?
That’s why she’s better with titles. I suck…and I confess it. But I do like this. A reminiscence of the Beat Generation and the innocense of the 60′s. I sorta miss it.
Good one, I miss the 60′s too-sometimes
Nice poem, Jan… Thanks for stopping by and for subscribing.

your poetry is powerful and the images vivid and humerous
thats fun
“I think I’ll go with “Surrender” for the last one…”
this is interesting
random chance which i dont see often would suggest that this is a coincidence
design which i see all around me would point to a synchronicity… interesting times..
I almost did not post that writing last night …it did not really flow well, but my writing seldom flows with the ease i enjoy while speaking…so i practice writing to attempt to close that gap, to little effect…
so i do not regard my writing highly… people such as yourself however appear to do a better job of reading the message…. beyond the superficial content and that is amazing to me … its more a reflection of your intuitive abilities than my writing but my ego like the attention none the less.. so i post a lot of my writing i dont really like just becouse of your interest… Thank you for your attention..it counts

title…maybe ‘Romantic Communion’…
thanks! nice poem.
I like it. I know I’ve felt like throwing to the wind what I’ve got, and finding refuge in something new for a while.
I have a short work of Kerouac’s, I believe it’s called Tristessa. Ring a bell? isn’t it part of the book you are reading?
Enjoyed re-reading this poe,. RYC: happy you liked the Russian poetry–hope you find the book! My heritage is actually 100% Norwegian. Hope the rst of your day goes well!
Hello, I am sorry but I didnt notice your comment on some poems I wrote.
Now,I dont like to call themn poems, to me they are just some words and thoughts thrown together.
Your poem above is what I call real poetry.
You write well.
